The owner has blatantly given himself a 5 star review! As owner of the business, you ca post a response to your reviews without artificially inflating your google review star rating. At any rate, it's a terribly confrontational and unprofessional reply and has turned me off from buying from you.
Charming seller, poor care. I have had several issues since day of purchase including a faulty sound system, crack in windscreen noticed day of purchase, service light remaining on and no arrival of v5c. I took a picture of the crack on day of purchase after it was noted as design related. Within a week it had developed to a large star and I had to replace windscreen. I called Simon re: this and DAB / Aux fault. I was told the crack was never there so not Worthington and Sons problem, and that in order to look at the sound system fault I would need to drive the car back to Worthington and Son with no guarantee the mechanics would be able to do anything about it (and with it being a 110 mile round trip it's not something I can do at the drop of a hat). I had received an AA inspection report from Worthington and Son which concluded that the sound system was in full working order, however was made to feel like it was my problem it wasn't. I was assured by Simon the V5 is on its way, however after waiting nearly 6 weeks I called the DVLA this morning who informed me they haven't received any paperwork relating to the car. This was the final nail in the coffin for me. I've dealt with many car dealers and to date have had only great experiences. It seemed the same with Worthington and Son until driving the car away. All charm but no care; I would strongly advise if buying from Worthington and Son check all details and aftercare to the Nth degree before you exchange any money. I haven't mentioned to Worthington and Son also, but the car was filthy. The interior was sticky and old food bits found everywhere.. What seemed half a pack of digestives and a cup of coffee under the rear bench. I had to have the rear tyres replaced within two weeks also as they were literally on the edge of legal on purchase, however at least this issue had been noted and given the price I figured that was fair. The only redeeming factor was that the car was priced low.. that has definitely been reflected in the service. A car sales man with all the charm, but approach with caution.
Bought a car from this garage had a minor problem, guys sorted it same day very happy with service would definitely recommend
The worst experience ever. Paid a deposit, turned up to collect the car, Simon nowhere to be found, told by mechanic that he had not been in all day, Car in such a state that we could not have it, No return of deposit and told after finally getting through to Simon on the phone, to stop talking about such trivial matters, after changing over all docs etc having to change all back again as no new car, car had severe engine problems. Simon should not be in business, did not even have the front to face us, left the poor mechanic to take the flack. I can not recommend him, DO NOT give this man any money.
Brought a freelander 2 & very happy with the service , few niggles to start but simon quickly & professionally sorted them out .. Will definitely recommend buying from worthington & sons ... keep up the good work simon
