Went for a Birthday afternoon tea, Our first impression was of the very polite waiter in a very grey/ supposedly white un-ironed shirt . Unforgivable - if i noticed surely his manager did! Tea was very nice but did think for 25 there would have been a better selection of cakes maybe macaroons or meringues-something to maybe take on board instead of the reply all other reviews have of hope we willl see you back again!!
Absolutely perfect experience! The room was very large, NEW, and clean! Friendly staff who went above and beyond especially a gentleman named Dan who went out of his way to open up the bar for me late at night so I could buy some Pepsi and water. You don't find service like that nowadays! :)
We have stayed At this hotel on previous occasions and enjoyed the experience. The building dates back about a hundred and fifty years and reflects the fine architecture of that period. The company was celebrating their seasonal dinner and the food and service were first class. Would recommend this hotel and its facilities to anyone wanting to celebrate a special occasion.
Lovely Spa Day! Superb staff. Overall an excellent day, but locker room/cloakroom needs refurbishment. Idealic gardens. Fantastic building in Arts and crafts style - a hidden gem!
Would had given 5 star but I came face to face with a really rude staff member that ultimately ended with me sleeping else where with my luggage in a hotel room and he wouldn't give me the key to get back into my own room ...keeping in mind I was a bridesmaid with my gown on and nothing else with me and instead of helping me get my things from the room so I could leave the hotel i ended up having to go to a random persons house from the wedding who was kind enough to put me up for the night.....i returned the next morning super annoyed to get my things...other than that everything else about the place was awesome and the grounds where beautiful...work on who you employ I didn't appreciate being looked down on by your rude staff member.
